Cincinnati's Ghost Ship

A ship worth knowing...

Locals have come to know her as “Cincinnati’s Ghost Ship,” although the name is somewhat misleading. There are no ghostly or paranormal tales are associated with the ship. The term “ghost” reflects the haunting decay, the echo of what was once a magnificent vessel that sailed through some of our nation’s most epic eras. So step with me aboard the USS Sachem. We’ll sail through prominent periods of our nation’s history, like the roaring wealth of the 1920’s, both World Wars, the Great Depression and more…all from the deck of one decaying yacht, marooned off the southern bank of the Ohio River.
